Hearing Loss in the Unoperated Ear After High-Speed Drilling in Otologic and Skull Base Surgery

A significant number of patients that underwent skull based surgery suffered hearing loss in the unoperated ear. This study demonstrates the need for treatments to better protect hearing during these surgical procedures.
